Vero Technologies

Sixty years of British electronics, in a catalogue an engineer can actually search.

The client

Vero Technologies carries one of the most respected names in British electronics. The VERO brand goes back more than sixty years — from the original Veroboard to today’s range of enclosures, PCB pins, test point pins, SMT components, backplanes, extenders and protoboards, designed and manufactured in the UK and shipped worldwide.

It is a range that rewards knowing what you want. Someone looking for a 3U rack enclosure or a particular test point pin is not browsing. They have a part in mind, often a legacy one, and they want to confirm the specification and order it.

What we runWebsite, SEO and wider marketing

What we set out to fix

A sixty-year reputation is worth very little online if the catalogue behaves like a brochure. The job was to make a large, technical range findable — by part, by category, and by the names the trade has used for decades — and then to make ordering it as straightforward from Singapore as from Southampton.

What that meant in practice

  • A catalogue structured the way buyers look, not the way a price list is filed
  • Search that takes someone straight to the part they came for
  • Technical data on the page rather than behind an email
  • Direct online ordering alongside the distributor network

What we do

We built the website, and we have run the search and the wider marketing since.

1

The website

A WooCommerce catalogue covering the full range, from PCB pins and enclosures through to circuit boards, guides and handles. Prominent search, worldwide ordering, and the technical detail needed to specify with confidence.

2

The search work

Optimisation for the terms engineers actually use — test point pins, 19-inch enclosures, and the Veroboard and protoboard names the brand is known for. Those terms are built into the structure of the site rather than bolted on.

3

The longer view

We have worked with Vero over years rather than campaigns — the site, the search, and the wider marketing decisions that sit around them.

What the site has to get right

Engineers do not browse. They arrive knowing the part, and the site has to agree with them.

What that gives them

A catalogue that behaves like a distributor’s rather than a brochure. Someone can search a part number, filter down to the exact enclosure or connector they need, check the technical data and order it — from anywhere in the world, without picking up the phone.

The specialist product terms trade buyers search for are worked into the structure of the site, so the range earns visibility for what it genuinely is rather than for generic electronics phrases. A sixty-year engineering reputation now carries online, and the catalogue takes orders around the clock.
